Miraj Dhungana, a prominent Gen Z leader in Nepal, who gained fame during the Gen Z protest, staged another protest in front of Singha Durbar Gate on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. He and his group expressed dissatisfaction after being unable to meet the Prime Minister on Monday.

Today, they demonstrated by tying black bands around their heads. When they attempted to enter Singha Durbar, there was a brief scuffle between the Miraj group and the police. The group, which had planned to offer itself for arrest after reaching the Singha Durbar gate, was stopped by the police.

According to Harish Bhatt, a leader of the “Garikhan Deu” campaign led by Miraj, the plan on Tuesday was not to meet the Prime Minister but to protest in front of the gate. They plan to continue this moment until their demands are fulfilled.

The memorandum demands the arrest of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, and all those involved in the incidents of Bhadau 23–24. It also calls for the formation of an all-party government to amend the current constitution and for the cancellation of the announced elections.

The demands also include freezing the movable and immovable property of leaders and former MPs and ministers of all political parties.  They are also calling for the formation of a powerful anti-corruption commission. Another demand is the permanent ban on party-affiliated employee organisations in government services. In addition, they want a Gen Z Monitoring Commission to be established. They also demand immediate job opportunities for the families of martyrs and the injured.

They have also urged the immediate termination of Adarsh Shrestha, Prime Minister Sushila Karki’s chief personal, after it was revealed that he allegedly appointed his wife, relatives and other family members to positions of secretariat.

As the group remains firm on not backing down until their demands are met, they are currently pushing and shoving with the police around the Singha Durbar area.
