The Election Commission has made arrangements to provide voter details from across the country to political parties if required, upon payment of a prescribed fee. The Commission provides voter details electronically, excluding date of birth, citizenship number, and mobile number.
According to the House of Representatives Election Guidelines prepared by the Commission, the nationwide voter roll can be obtained for NPR 10,000 (USD 69.39). Such details will be provided to parties registered with the Commission for electoral purposes, based on an official letter from the party.
NPR 5,000 for a Single Province
If voter details for only one province are required, they can be obtained by paying NPR 5,000 (USD 34.69).
An election officer must allow any voter, party representative, or candidate to view or copy the voter roll at their own expense, provided that the voter roll is not torn, damaged, or altered.
The voter list with photographs can only be viewed by the concerned voter, while the voter roll without photographs can be viewed by anyone.
If any voter wishes to obtain their own voter details, the election office must provide a copy of the voter roll containing only that voter’s information upon payment of NPR 10,000 (USD 69.39).
NPR 3,000 for a District or One Electoral Constituency
Similarly, based on an official letter from a registered political party or an application from an independent candidate, the election office must provide electronic voter details—excluding date of birth, citizenship number, and mobile number—upon payment of the prescribed fee.
For this purpose, NPR 3,000 (USD 20.82) will be charged for voter details of an entire district, and the same amount is charged for voter details of any single electoral constituency.
Even while providing such details, the voter’s date of birth, mobile number, and citizenship information will not be disclosed.
