A rain-induced flood on Thursday morning damaged shops and houses in Srinagar Bazaar, the center of Adanchuli Rural Municipality in Humla district.
While no human casualties have been reported so far, more than 10 houses and shops were damaged. The flood also destroyed a goat shed, killing 26 goats, according to official reports.
Pre-monsoon has started in Nepal, marking the end of Winter. Pre-monsoon is characterised by increasing temperatures, thunderstorms, lightning, and rainfall.
Humla is the northernmost district of Karnali Province of Nepal. It was the last Himalayan district linked with the national road network.
