Hyatt Place Butwal has officially opened in Rupandehi, becoming Hyatt’s third hotel in Nepal after Kathmandu and Pokhara. The opening is an important step for the global hotel brand as it expands into fast-growing cities outside the capital. The hotel adds 109 rooms, meeting spaces, and several services designed for both business and leisure travellers.
The most important feature of the new property is its wide range of room options. Guests can choose from King and Twin rooms, as well as Forest-View and Hill-View rooms. The hotel also offers several suites for guests who want more space. The largest option is the 1,560-square-foot Presidential Suite, which is meant for high-end travellers. Other rooms range from 28 to 72 square meters, giving visitors different choices based on their needs and budgets.
Another key highlight of Hyatt Place Butwal is its focus on business and events. The hotel includes a Grand Ballroom that can host up to 150 guests. This space can be used for conferences, weddings, meetings, and other gatherings. Because Butwal is growing as a business centre in Western Nepal, the ballroom is expected to attract companies, event planners, and local families.
The hotel provides several practical services that are common in Hyatt Place properties around the world. These include complimentary Wi-Fi, 24/7 dining options, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, a spa, and a children’s play area. The hotel aims to serve guests who want comfort, convenience, and the ability to work or relax at any time of day.
The recent Gen Z protest has caused major hospitality names like Hyatt and Hilton in Kathmandu closed indefinitely. The recent opening comes as a relief for national hospitality industry strengthening foundations for international hotel brands that are increasing their investments in Nepal. Better road connections, new regional airports, and efforts to promote tourism in different parts of the country have encouraged companies to expand beyond the major cities.
Globally, Hyatt Hotels Corporation manages more than 1,450 hotels and resorts in 82 countries. With the addition of the Butwal property, the company continues its strategy to grow in South Asia and serve the rising number of travellers visiting Nepal for business, tourism, and religious travel. The new hotel is expected to support Butwal’s development and strengthen its position as an important hub in the region.
